Lecture: Patrick Kana

Patrick is an award winning furniture designer, artist, and educator who creates work that is centered around material exploration within both natural and architectural form. He manages and supports the operations of all makerspaces within CAMD, which include woodworking, digital fabrication, and general model making facilities. Safety trainings, technical instruction, oversight, and course integration for these facilities are all coordinated by Patrick. Prior to coming to Northeastern, Patrick served as the Studio Technician and Visiting Assistant Professor of Art and Architecture at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. In addition to academic work, Patrick maintains his own cooperative woodworking studio, Kana Studios LLC and continues to exhibit his furniture and sculpture widely across New York State.
