NRT Solicitation (NSF 19-522) is under revision and will be available in the fall with a deadline in early 2021. Based on previous solicitations there may only be 3-4 weeks between release of the solicitation and the LOI deadline because of this we have set an internal proposal deadline of Nov. 10 2020 to ensure there is ample time for peer review and for teams to prepare their proposals.
We do not expect significant changes to the structure of the program at this time and strongly suggest that if you are interested in leading an NRT proposal you contact Research Development. Our government relations firm, Lewis-Burke Associates expects that there will be new priority areas including one on AI. Other areas that have recently been highlighted by NSF include quantum information science and computationally intensive research.
